Each time you take out a loan, you raise your DTI. Lenders usually look for that number to be about 40% or lower.

The lender could reject your application, or approve it but at a high annual percentage rate, because of your existing debt.

Its also worth considering the hit your credit score could take when you apply for another loan. Loan applications often trigger a hard credit pull that can temporarily drop your score by a few points.

If you apply for several loans in quick succession, the effect on your credit can multiply, and you could see a big dent in your score.

A new housing loan scheme has been approved for the State Government of Goa for government employees on 10 January 2022. The implementation of this scheme will be done through the Economic Development Corporation . Permanent or regular state government employees in government departments or on deputation to corporations and autonomous bodies can benefit from this scheme. The housing loan scheme will be applicable to constructing a new house on land owned by an employee or their spouse, jointly or separately. The loan limit will be determined on the basis of the employees gross salary and will be subjected to a maximum loan amount of Rs.40 lakh.
